A native Jamaican, now living in Bermuda, Nolan Brown AKA “Missian”, was blessed to be surrounded by music all his life. Born to a family of extremely talented musicians, and singers, he discovered his love and aptitude for music, at a very young age.
Driven by the call of God on his life and his deep love and passion for the music ministry, at age Twenty Three, was the founding member of a gospel singing Group, Komplete. A songwriter, and lead vocalist, Nolan found his niche in his group. Inspired by artists such as Papa San, Prodigal Son and Ernie Smith, Missian began his ministry with the primary goal of taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the dancehalls and clubs.
Missian has performed at various events in the Caribbean including the popular JCDC competition “(Jamaican Cultural Development Competition)” where he was a 2 time gold medal winner. He performed at the World Aids Day Concert in JA (2007) were artist such as Beenie Man and Christopher Martin also performed. He has also had the pleasure of performing at various concerts and shows in and around Bermuda put on by the New Testament Churches of God, Gina Spence Production in Christ, the Jamaican Association, Bermuda Chamber of Commerce (Harbour Nights) and sharing the stage with artist such as Septimus, Geneman, Troy Anthony, Big Snipes, Tricray Astwood and Fyah Kid to name a few. You can find Missian’s music playing on the local airways (Irie 98.3, Power 95, Hott 107.5), throughout the Caribbean, the US and the UK. You can also find his videos now playing Tempo and Fresh TV. Missian describes himself as a Christian, who loves to reason with people about his faith and enjoys studying the Bible and socializing. He is a family orientated individual and most times you can find him with his wife and children. Missian loves to crack jokes and is fun to be around. He has been described as simply outrageous for Christ. Missian's one true desire is that the world would know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Using reggae as his tool, he has set out to reach both the young and young at heart with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Missian's debut album, entitled "Missian on a Mission" was released on Jan. 15, 2011’. The best is yet to come as Missian continues to strive for excellence in his studio recordings and songwriting.
