This charming southern belle plays some raucous piano and sings a medley of old favorites and new song making the crowd feel as welcome as old friends in her living room. “I began my musical training as soon as my father could teach me. And even though he couldn’t read a note of music, he just started teaching me how to play the piano. I could follow him when he played – we called it the fiddle, not the violin.” Later on I was a music major in college but they were going to change my whole way of singing, I said, wait a minute, this is what I want to do! I knew that if I trained my voice their way, I might not be able to sing the way I wanted to sing. Being a Taurus, I changed my major to elementary education. I guess when your are real naďve and don’t know “come here” form “sick em!” It’s a saving grace. I walked into a agency, sat down, and began playing the piano and singing. I had a job in two weeks. KARON met MARTY ALLEN 18 years ago. When he heard her sing, he flipped out. Tired of being on the road by herself, she gave it a shot. She played a couple of dates, and just sort of evolved into ALLEN’S straight woman. There never was a woman who played straight before, especially to a crazy guy like MARTY. Her first CD, “WEDDING VOWS”, has been a huge success. It features the song that she wrote for her wedding. KARON is now working on her new CD, which will feature hit songs form the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
