Lesley Ann Warren is the quintessential actress, consistently giving audiences and critics reason to agree with Pauline Kale of New Yorker Magazine, who hailed her as "one of the great beauties of the screen and an actress who delivers spectacular performances."
After winning the Most Promising Newcomer Award as the ingenue lead in 110 in the Shade on Broadway, she found stardom on the small screen as "Cinderella" in the original television version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, as the youngest student ever accepted to The Actors Studio production of "Threepenny Opera" and as Scarlett O'Hara in the musical version of Gone with the Wind, at the Music Center in Los Angeles.
Warren’s first film was The Happiest Millionaire for Disney. Her performance in Blake Edwards' comic masterpiece Victor/Victoria garnered her an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actress, as well as winning the New York Critics Film Award and a People's Choice Award. Her other film credits include Clue, Burglar, Pure Country, Choose Me, Songwriter (for which she received another Golden Globe nomination), Cop co-starring James Woods, Life Stinks co-starring Mel Brooks and The Color of Night co-starring Bruce Willis.
Her television credits include a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in the miniseries "79 Park Avenue," as well as a Golden Globe nomination and an Emmy nomination for her performance in the CBS mini-series "Family of Spies." She was also nominated for a Cable Ace Award for her work in the A & E production of Tennessee Williams' "27 Wagons Full of Cotton" and HBO Pictures’ "Baja Oklahoma." Additional television credits include "Evergreen," and the Emmy Award-winning TNT miniseries "Joseph" opposite Ben Kingsley. Her most recent appearance has been starring on NBC's hit show "Jesse," in a recurring role as Christina Applegate's mom.
Recently, Warren starred on Broadway in Dream at The Royale Theatre. She was seen on the big screen in Gramercy Pictures’ Going All The Way, which was featured in the director's competition at the previous year’s Sundance Film Festival. Going All The Way also stars Ben Affleck and Jeremy Davies. Her most recent credits include the independent feature Twin Falls Idaho, Which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival.
