During the 35 years since Regis Philbin first stepped in front of the camera, he has enjoyed more success with more shows than possibly any other individual on television. In addition to hosting "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," Regis is best-known as co-host of the top-rated daytime talk show, "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee," now in its eleventh season in syndication.
His books, all bestsellers, include the memoir, "I'm Only One Man," and two he co-authored, "Entertaining With Regis & Kathie Lee" and "Cooking With Regis & Kathie Lee." He has appeared in numerous television series and movies and can be seen in a cameo role as himself in the recent feature film, "Dudley Do-Right."
A native of New York City, Philbin is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife, Joy (a frequent "Live" co-host and host of her own interior decorating show, "Haven"), live in Manhattan and Connecticut. They have two grown daughters, Joanna and Jennifer.
