Taylor Negron, an accomplished performer with a passion for stand-up comedy was born "Brad Negron" during the Cuban missile crisis in a split level home that looked like a pizza parlor during a Bicentennial celebration in Glendale, California. Negron recalls this locale with his trademark humor, "Glendale was so boring it made Burbank seem like Berlin in the early thirties."

Taylor Negron is proud of being a native Angeleno and remembers "when the palm trees were shorter and "Tomorrowland" was modern. His education was limited - For Taylor the 3 R’s were always "Reading, Writing, and Running Away!"

His formative years were spent listening to "Three Dog Night" albums featuring the lead vocals of his now recovered cousin - Chuck Negron. "I am proud of my family’s rock and roll roots. Some of my fondest memories are of my Grandmother standing on the dining room table singing, "Mama Told Me Not To Come."

Taylor Negron attended UCLA...for lunch. He studied acting early in his late teens with such greats as Lee Strasberg (who was very cold and superior). But the teacher who had the most impact on him was the legendary Lucille Ball who gave Negron the best advice he’s ever gotten in show business. "When playing drunk, speak slowly and clearly. And don’t ever produce a show about helicopters."

Taylor Negron’s first national exposure came in the movie The Main Event that starred Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neil. If it were not for Ms. Streisand’s large Afro you would have seen more of him today on the D.V.D release. With such an auspicious inauguration in to movies - Negron moved quickly out of the shadow of Streisand’s Afro and into his own rightful spot in cinema history. Parts suddenly began to materialize. He delivered the pizza to Sean Penn in Amy Heckerling’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High. "With out me there would be no Sean Penn," Negron overstates.

This began a trend that has yet to stop...

Negron’s film career includes parts in movies such as Young Doctors in Love, Better Off Dead, Angels In The Outfield, Punchline with Tom Hanks and Sally Field, Easy Money with Rodney Dangerfield and Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nothing but Trouble with Demi Moore and Dan Ackroyd. Negron received critical praise for his sinister portrayal of pistol-happy Milo in The Last Boy Scout where he did serious damage to Bruce Willis’ ass. For this film Negron was nominated for "Best Death Scene" by MTV’s Movie Awards. He lost.

Taylor Negron had the honor of doing stand-up on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. He also had an HBO Special called One Night Stand. Negron's television credits include appearances on Seinfeld, The Hughleys, The Practice, Friends, Hope and Gloria and his legs were cut off on E.R. Negron was recently seen opposite Geena Davis in the hit film Stuart Little. He has a lot of feelings about being upstaged by a rat and was reprimanded by studio officials during filming for bringing a glue trap to work with him.

Taylor donned a Playtex-cross your heart space suit and became a green Martian with Alan Cumming in Amblin Entertainment’s Viva Rock Vegas. Last summer he starred in the feature Loser with Greg Kinnear.

He’s just completed Call Me Claus for TNT, starring opposite Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Nigel Hawthorne and Victor Garber to be released December 2001. He also stars with Tom Arnold in Hector Barron’s recently released Lloyd and since summer 2000 has starred in the TV hit So Little Time for Fox Family - a situation comedy set at The Malibu Colony and starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Negron is also known as the E! Entertainment Television spokesman and "Priest King" in a series of promotional spots that earned both Negron and the cable network numerous awards, including the B.P.M.I. Gold Award.

As a writer, Negron has enjoyed much success. He wrote and starred in Gangster Planet, a four-character domestic comedy set during the Los Angeles Riots. Chosen "Critics Choice", The Los Angeles Times wrote, "If Aristophnes were alive today and had watched L.A. burn Gangster Planet could be the result... acute cynicism with a clown’s humanism."

Although disturbed by the clown reference, Negron marking the tenth anniversary of the L.A. riots, intends on re-staging his play in the second quarter of 2002.

In summer 1999 Taylor Negron also wrote a hit musical play called Latin Sol - a love and rhythm retrospective - staged and directed by his long time colleque David Sweitzer. Latin Sol is currently enjoying its third incarnation at the glamorous Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City and is now playing to capacity crowd in a 2000 seat Broadway style show room with 10-piece orchestra. Taylor originated the role of the "emcee" and performed for one month. The sound of the slot machines made him very nervous.

Taylor Negron’s radio show was called "The Urban Home Companion".

For the last 11 years Negron has owned an old house in the south of France. He retires there every night after work.
