Dr. Andrew Weil is a leader in the integration of Western medicine and the exploding field of alternative medicine. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, he teaches at the University of Arizona in Tucson, specializing in alternative medicine, mind/body interactions and medical botany. He is the founder of the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, where he is training a new generation of physicians.
Dr. Weil is the author of eight books: "The Natural Mind" (1972), "The Marriage of the Sun and the Moon" (1980), "From Chocolate to Morphine" (with Winifred Rosen, 1983), "Health and Healing" (1984), "Natural Health, Natural Medicine" (1990), "Spontaneous Healing" (1995), "8 Weeks to Optimum Health" (1997), and his most recent best-seller, "Eating Well for Optimum Health: The Essential Guide to Food, Diet, and Nutrition" (2000).
