Ben was one of the first African-Americans to enlist in the Pennsylvania State Police, and he rose to the rank of Major. He founded Major Ben's Consulting Agency to deliver powerful , dynamic speeches, training and consulting in the areas of: Understanding and Valuing Diversity, Dealing with Difficult People, Policing Your Image, Preventing Sexual Harassment, and Workplace Violence. He is a graduate of Kutztown University, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State University Police Supervisor and Executive Development, and U.S. Department of Justice Diversity Training. He has appeared on "About the Law" at WHAG, an NBC affiliate, on "Diversity in Law Enforcement", and "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace." Clients include: Smith-Kline-Beecham, University of Cincinnati, Tri-M Corporation, Philadelphia Police Department, Dauphin Deposit Bank.
