Bruce Herschensohn is well known and highly regarded by Californians as a political commentator for television and radio, for his distinguished service to government and presidents, and for his role as an entrepreneurial film maker. Among Herschensohn's most notable films was the documentary, "John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightening, Days of Drums." Herschensohn served presidents of both political parties, including Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Reagan. He was a valued member of President Reagan's transition team and served as one of four California co-chairs for George Bush's winning campaign in 1988. In 1992, Herschensohn won the California Republican nomination for the United States Senate. He won more than a million more votes than the national ticket of the Republican Party.
