Dr. Scott Sheperd has more than 20 years experience in working with people in difficult situations, ranging from terminal illness to high pressure jobs. In addition to conducting workshops and seminars with professionals in the fields of Health Care, education and Business, Dr. Sheperd is coauthor of Cancer and Hope and I Will Live Today, books for the seriously ill and their families. He also wrote The Survival Handbook for the Newly recovering, a book focusing on substance abuse and What Do You think of You?, a book on self-esteem for young people and their parents. Dr. Sheperd's six-part lecture series, "Who's in Charge?" has been broadcast on PBS. He has a B.A. degree in Music, Masters degree in Mass Communications, and Ph.D. in Counseling. In May of 1995 he appeared on a Professional Speaker's Showcase with nineteen other speakers and over 350 clients in the audience. Over the next ninety days following the showcase, he was "booked" by more of the clients that any of the other speakers. By using humor and a "down-to-earth" approach to living and working, Dr. Sheperd's presentations appeal to both management and front-line workers.
