The state of Idaho is best known for producing two things - potatoes and former Green Bay Packer great Jerry Kramer. Jerry was a standout in picturesque Sandpoint, Idaho and then was a starring offensive guard and place kicker at the University of Idaho. In 1957 he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers. After being informed of the selection, Kramer's first move was to find an atlas - to locate the whereabouts of Green Bay! Jerry quickly found the town of Green Bay and legendary coach Vince Lombardi found himself an All-Pro guard. From 1957 until his retirement after the 1968 season, Jerry Kramer was the prototype offensive guard. He single-handedly won the 1962 Championship game for the Packers with his three field goals, leading Lombardi's lads to a 16-7 win. He was a member of 5 NFL Championship teams and 2 consecutive Super Bowl Championships. He was a member of the only team to ever win 3 consecutive NFL Championships and was named All-Pro 5 times. He was also selected BEST GUARD in the first 50 years of pro football. In 1963, he ranked 4th in NFL scoring with 91 total points on 16 field goals and extra points.
