Michael Deaver is one of the foremost analysts of the American political scene and head of the Communications Advisory Committee for the 1996 Republican Party Convention. A legendary communications strategist, Deaver is credited with being the architect of the successful communications strategy in Ronald Reagan's 1980 and 1984 presidential campaigns. In addition, he served as President Reagan's deputy chief of staff.
