Roger Staubach
In 1970, while playing football for the Dallas Cowboys, Roger launched his real estate career. Since 1979, The Staubach Company has helped pioneer the concept of tenant representation, providing client service without conflicts between property developers and owners. Throughout the last twenty-one years, the company has expanded into a full service company that provides real estate finance, design and construction, property and portfolio management and other services. The Staubach Company has remained an independent firm that now has 36 offices in 31 cities and more than 800 employees in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Their North American clients include American Airlines, AutoNation, Bank of America, Barnes & Noble, Blockbuster, Booz Allen Hamilton, Circuit City, CompUSA, Disney, Ericsson, E*TRADE, Fina, Iomega, MCI WorldCom, Nextel, Oxychem, Sterling Commerce, Toyota, GTE/Verizon and Walgreens. In January 2000, The Staubach Company and DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, one of the largest real estate services companies covering Europe and Asia, formed a joint venture to better serve their clients' global real estate needs. The joint venture: DTZ Staubach Tie Leung provides local market expertise and full service capabilities in 150 cities in 45 countries worldwide, and 7300 employees worldwide. A 1965 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Roger spent four years in the Navy as an officer. He joined the Dallas Cowboys professional football team as a quarterback in 1969. Roger is currently on the Board of Trustees of American AAdvantage Funds, Board of Directors of the United Way of America, Brinker International and "PowerUP: Bridging the Digital Divide" and the Board of Advisors of the Children's Scholarship Fund. He is active in the American Cancer Society Annual Children's Luncheon, and other numerous civic, charitable and professional organizations. Recent honors bestowed on Roger include Office & Industrial Properties 1998 Executive of the Year, Commercial Property News Corporate Services Executive of the year in 1999 - and again in 2000, and the NCAA 2000 "Teddy" Roosevelt Award Winner.
