THE BREAKFAST is ready to be served if you are ready for a power trio playing some of the finest progressive funk rock on the scene today! Their latest album Moxie Epoxy released in November 2006 is a testament to the style and energy of these three souls from East Haven, CT. Moxie Epoxy recorded in Wilmington, VT and at Horizon Studios in West Haven, CT features the brilliant musicianship and raw talent of guitarist Tim Palmieri, bassist Ron Spears, drummer Adrian Tramontono and ex-keyboard player Jordan Giangreco. This is The Breakfast’s second release for HMG Recordings and their fifth overall. The Jammy Award winning trio has spent the last year touring across the country in support of their last release, Moxie Epoxy. The Breakfast’s national tour and non-stop schedule saw them support the likes of The Wailers, Moe, North Mississippi All-Stars, Gomez, and others. They’ve also played the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Minnesota two years in a row, as well as Moedown and many other festivals. The band also celebrated their 1,000th show at Toad’s Place in their hometown of New Haven, CT in the summer of 2006. Keyboardist Jordan Giangreco left the band that summer, but the group is continuing as a power trio with Palmieri pulling double duty playing the keyboards and synthesizers alongside shredding the guitar. An aural cornucopia that combines the best elements of the artists the band most admire and now a new sound has emerged. One that blends complexity with taste, one that brings back Rock’n Roll improvisation of rule breaking, no guts no glory, and spirituality of youth and rebellion. No holds barred in delivery or diversity fans are to expect something different every show and will not be disappointed. THE BREAKFAST give one hundred and ten percent every night they play. Moxie Epoxy is the bands best recording effort to date. It captures everything the band does live and also has studio moments showing the growth of their craft. Impeccable drumming from Adrian Tramontano in tone and rhythm all over the record combined with Ron Spear’s driving bass lines is already a rhythm section from heaven. Mix that with Tim Palmieri’s genius on guitar musically the album melts minds. Lyrically the band has been known for being fun and wacky but this record shows the band maturing and discussing deeper issues. Life, choices, anger, love, and heartbreak are themes being touched with Moxie Epoxy. All being self-taught musicians and vocalists this album marks a new chapter in the development of their career. Moxie Epoxy is an album not to be ignored. THE BREAKFAST = a band not to be missed.
