Being A local boy in the Wheeling, WV area Turk has played music since 1967 with several local bands like, Free People (1967-1971), Wells Fargo (1971-1973), The Pits (1997) and most recently with Left Of Center which is an ongoing project. Turk Leonard has been booking as a One Man Band since 1980. Starting in West Palm Beach, Florida in May of 1980 and continuing to present he has played to audiences in Florida, N Carolina, Carolina, Virginia. Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona and many places to numerous to mention.Locally he has played several Italian Festivals and Pumpkin Festivals. Various club and lounge engagements, including the upstairs lounge over the WWVA Jamboree USA. Also he did all the Dinner Cruises on the Valley Voyager Riverboat from 1991 thru 1996 for Lou Fiola owner of the Riverboat and The Anchor Room Restaurant and Lounge in Follansby, W.Va. Presently Turk's act consists of pre-recorded background music with Turk Singing vocals and playing Lead Guitar (Live) with the tracks. Also for some songs he plays acoustic guitar and vocals, with an occasional harmonica or keyboards. Requests are welcomed and encouraged during one of Turk's shows and usually satisfies most.
He is available for Lounges, Clubs, Party's, Weddings, Reunions, and any function wanting a diversity of music including genre's of Classic Rock, 50s and 60s Oldies, Classic and Contemporary Country, and a healthy
mixture of Standards for dinner dance functions. Turk is willing to travel anywhere to play a gig.
