Mr. R is a rising internet radio DJ and is rapidly becoming a major force in today's internet entertainment revolution. Robert Rickenbacker--aka Mr. R, grew up in Freeport, Long Island, NY and started his career in the late 80’s as a rapper by the name Kool Rob-O; writing his own songs and recording “clean lyric” rap for a local record label. After years of pursuing his rap career he gave it up because of the violent and negative nature of rap. From there he turned to acting appearing in many TV and film projects such as Law and Order Trial by Jury, Third Watch, Freedomland starring Samuel L. Jackson to name just a few and is currently starring in a new internet TV series called Brooks and Brenner playing Detective Brooks and can be seen on www.usergeneratedcontent.tv .
In pursing his quest to conquer the internet radio world, Mr. R started out doing local and national weekly news on a local podcast network. After a year, he broadened his horizons and started to do internet radio after answering an ad for radio DJ’s and the rest was history. With this experience under his belt, Mr. R is ready to take the world by storm with his show called “The What’s Hot Radio Show” an innovative radio show designed as a platform to give independent and unsigned Hip Hop and R&B artists a chance to be heard worldwide via internet technology. The What’s Hot Radio Show is a live, entertaining video radio show where viewers can see Mr. R “up close and personal and listen to the music of yesterday and the future. Mr. R started his career as an independent Hip Hop artist with only neighborhood fame and he feels it is his committed mission to help unknown artist to be heard and believes he can do so with the increasing power of the internet. As Mr. R continues to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an all-around entertainer comes another chapter - The What’s Hot Radio Show will now be broadcasting live on Rock Me TV, www.rockmetv.com .
